Hi I'm Jess
Counsellor | Lotus Life Counselling | Sunshine Coast

If you’re a woman navigating separation or divorce, you may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, and unsure how you’re going to hold everything together.
You might be trying to manage parenting on your own, cope with financial pressure, and adjust to a life that now feels completely unfamiliar.
You might be navigating midlife changes, noticing shifts in your energy, identity, or sense of self as everything around you changes.
And underneath it all, you may be quietly wondering:
“How do I start again after this?”
You’re not alone in this.
I support women through separation and life transitions
I specialise in supporting women navigating separation, divorce, and relationship breakdown.
This includes women who are trying to rebuild their lives after a relationship ends, process emotional pain, and find stability and clarity during a time of uncertainty.
With a focus on single mums rebuilding after separation
A core part of my work is supporting single mums who are rebuilding life after separation.
I understand the emotional load of parenting alone, the identity shift that comes with becoming a single parent, and the pressure of having to keep going even when you feel exhausted or unsure of yourself.
My work is shaped not only by my professional training as a counsellor, but also by my own lived experience of rebuilding life as a single mum after separation.
This allows me to meet you with genuine understanding, compassion, and without judgment.
Also supporting women in midlife and relationship transitions
Alongside this, I also support women in midlife who are navigating relationship changes, personal transitions, and shifts in identity and direction.
Whether your separation is recent or something you are still processing, this space is here to support you through that journey.
How I work with you
In our work together, I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can finally exhale.
This is your space where you don’t need to hold everything together, and where you don’t have to be “the strong one” all the time.
Together, we can gently explore what you’re feeling, make sense of what has happened, and begin rebuilding your sense of self, confidence, and direction.
I draw on evidence-based counselling approaches, but more importantly, I meet you where you are without pressure, without expectations, and at a pace that feels safe for you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
Outside of counselling
Outside of my work, I’m a mum, and I understand the reality of single parenting, the mental load, the responsibility, and the quiet moments where you’re just trying to get through the day.
I deeply value honesty, trust, and creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
When you feel ready
If you’re not sure if counselling is the right step, you are welcome to begin with a brief introductory call.
This is a gentle space for us to connect, talk through what you need, and see whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
